Setting up Medal on your Mac is a seamless process that allows you to capture and share your gaming highlights effortlessly. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or new to the world of game clipping, this guide will walk you through each step to get Medal up and running on your Mac.

Installation
You can download Medal for Mac at: https://mac.medal.tv | |
Run the installer you have just downloaded and drag Medal for Mac to the Applications folder. | |
Run Medal's launcher Medal for Mac in your launchpad | |
You will see a "Welcome to Medal for Mac" screen | |
Click the circle icon on the tray to open Medal for Mac's Options | |
Click on Preferences to change your Clipping Hotkey and Video Frame Rate |
Permissions
In order for the Recorder to work properly, you will need to check if all permissions are enabled for it to be able to clip.
To fix these issues, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy
Open System Preferences | |
Then go to Security and Privacy | |
Check the box next to Medal For Mac for Input Monitoring | |
Then do the same for Screen Recording | |
And finally again for Accessibility |
It is important to remember that you may need to Click the lock changes to prevent the Permissions from being modified afterwards:
You will need to choose the Quit Now option after changing these Settings for those to take effect on the app.
