How to Create an Account on Medal 

To get started with Medal, simply download and install the application from Medal.tv. After installation, create an account, set up your preferences, and you’re ready to begin capturing and sharing your gameplay moments.

Medal is designed to be intuitive and accessible, making it an excellent tool for gamers of all levels who want to enhance their gaming experience and connect with the broader gaming community.

Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Medal Account

1. Open the Medal App or Website

• Download the Medal app from Medal.tv or open the website in your browser.
• 

2. Click on "Sign Up"

• On the welcome screen, you will see the "Continue with Discord," "Continue with Google," and "Continue with Email" options.

3. Sign Up with Discord

• Click on the "Continue with Discord" button.
• You will be redirected to the Discord login page.
• Enter your Discord credentials and authorize Medal to access your Discord account.
• Follow the prompts to complete the setup.

4. Sign Up with Google

• Click on the "Continue with Google" button.
• You will be redirected to the Google login page.
• Enter your Google credentials and authorize Medal to access your Google account.
• Follow the prompts to complete the setup.

5. Sign Up with Email

• Click on the "Continue with Email" button.
• Enter your email address and create a password.
• If you select Sign Up With Email, you will be able to choose your Username, Email Address and Password during the sign up process.
• 

6. Other Sign-Up Options

• Click on "Other Options" below the main buttons.
• Choose from TikTok, Steam, Twitch, Facebook, or Apple.
• Follow the prompts for your chosen sign-up method to complete the setup.

The Social Accounts Medal currently supports for sign up:

• Discord
• TikTok
• Steam
• Twitter
• Riot
• Facebook
• Apple
• Email

If you select one of the social options to sign up, a browser will open redirecting to the social option of choice and will ask you to grant permissions to access your information. Once you have allowed access, Medal will create a new account using the name of your social media account name/handle.

Once an account has been made, you can use the same option again to log into your Medal account.

Please note: Medal will create an account from the Social Media Account that is currently logged in on your browser. If you have multiple accounts on a supported Social Media Platform, make sure you are logged into the Social Media Account you want to link Medal with.

If you created an account with Medal using a Social Media Account and try to log into Medal while signed into a different Social Media Account in your browser, Medal will create a new account.

Medal will not assign an email and password to your account if you choose to sign up using a Social Account. In order to add an email and password to your account, click on the Settings Cog Wheel > Account > Edit

Regardless of which option you choose, you can always add/change your email and password and link more Social Accounts to your Medal Account by clicking on the Settings > Connections

Please Note: You can only assign one of each Social Media Accounts to Medal. For example, if you have 2 Twitter accounts, you can only link 1 Twitter account to Medal

Recovering Your Account Without an Email

If you forgot your password and didn’t set an email, follow these steps to recover your account:

• Go to the Medal.tv support page.
• Submit a support ticket with your username and any details you can provide to verify your account (e.g., clips showing your name).

Include as much information as possible to help the support team verify your identity.
