Recovering Uploaded Clips
Even after deleting a Clip that was Posted to your Profile or Synced to Medal Cloud, Medal will keep those Clips separated on an Album called Recently Deleted.
You can access that Album by opening your Medal Desktop app, clicking the Albums button on the left bar, and selecting Recently Deleted.
There, you can Restore any of the Clips available there and they should go back to your Library, just as they were before.
Clips in the Recently Deleted Album will stay there for 30 days from the date they have been deleted. After that time window, they are completely deleted from our servers, without any change of recovery.
This feature is only available for Clips Uploaded as Cloud Synced or Public/Unlisted Posts. It currently doesn’t apply to Private Links.
Recovering Local Clips
Medal has an auto-delete feature called "Free Up Space," which automatically deletes local clips once they are uploaded to the cloud or your Profile. This feature includes a modal that allows you to set a specific storage limit, after which clips will be automatically deleted from your local storage once the limit is reached.
These deleted Local Clips are sent to your System's Recycle Bin and kept there until your System cleans the Recycle Bin, or the user empties the Recycle Bin.
To recover those deleted Local Clips you need to go to your System's Recycle Bin, right-click the file you want to restore and select "Restore". The file will return to its original place before it was deleted. You can view more information here on how to restore clips from your recyle bin.
Local Clips that were restored will not appear on the app's Library. You will need to import the Clip back again as a new Clip. Here is more info on Importing Clips
