Black Clips / Stuck in 1 frame

Some recorders and overlays can interfere with Medal's ability to record gameplay. Ensure the following programs are not running while using Medal:

Third-Party Software Overlays Known to Cause Issues:

Programs That Have Been Fixed but May Still Cause Issues:

• Faceit Anti-Cheat
• Razer Cortex
• Nvidia Shadowplay

• Gifyourgame
• Discord
• RivaTuner Statistics Server
  • Enable Microsoft hooking in RTSS settings to allow games to run correctly with RTSS enabled.
• MSI Afterburner
  • In Monitoring, turn off 'Show in On-Screen Display,' then relaunch your game.

If you have confirmed there is no conflicting software running but still experience black clips, try enabling Force Window Capture and then toggle on Advanced Window Capture in Settings > Clips & Recording under Special Features.

For games like Rust, FiveM, and CS:GO, enabling Advanced Window Capture can help resolve black clip issues during gameplay.
