How to reset your Settings

If you’re experiencing issues with Medal or just want a fresh start, you now have the option to reset all of your app settings back to default. This will return your settings to how they were when you first installed Medal.

⚠️ Important: This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

What does this reset affect?

When you use the Reset option, it will permanently delete your current app configuration, including:

• Capture Settings (including Quality Settings & Capture Mode)

• All Hotkeys

• Custom Game Settings

• Auto Clipping Settings

• Clip Folder Location

• Audio Settings

• Webcam Settings

• Privacy Preferences

Once the reset is complete, Medal will reload with the default settings. You’ll need to reconfigure anything you had previously customized.

How to Reset Your Settings

1. Go to Settings in the Medal app.

2. Scroll down to Advanced and enable the Developer Mode

3. Click the Reset button.

4. In the confirmation window, type RESET to confirm.

5. Click Reset to Default.

You’ll see a confirmation message that your settings have been reset. From there, review and update your preferences as needed.

When should I use this?

Use the reset feature if:

• You’re troubleshooting persistent bugs or unexpected behavior

• Your app settings seem broken or misconfigured

• You want to start fresh with default configurations
