Bright / Overexposed Clips

Modified on Wed, 26 Feb at 5:17 PM

If your clips are coming out very bright or overexposed, it's likely you're using HDR. Thankfully, Medal has a HDR Compatibility Mode! Follow the steps below to enable it, as well as some other troubleshooting steps.

Enable HDR Compatibility

  1. Go to Medal's Settings > Clips & Recording, and scroll down to Advanced | Recording.
  2. Enable HDR Compatibility.

Disable Automatically Manage Color For Apps

If enabling HDR in Medal's Advanced Recorder Settings didn't help, follow the steps below to disable Automatically Manage Color for Apps.

  1. Go to Start > Settings > System Display > Advanced Display.
  2. Select your Display near the top, then check for the Setting: Automatically manage color for apps
  3. Turn OFF Automatically Manage Color for Apps
