How to Filter Clips

Scrolling through hundreds and thousands of clips can be exhausting! That's why we added more precise filters to your clips, so that you can choose from a variety of different filters and find the clips you want to watch and publish quickly.

Library Filters

Medal's clip library offers various filters to help you easily navigate and manage your clips. Each filter provides a unique way to organize and find your clips efficiently.

 


Games

The Games filter allows you to view clips based on the game they were recorded from. This is useful if you have clips from multiple games and want to quickly find specific ones.

How to Use:

  1. Click on the "Games" filter button.
  2. A dropdown menu will appear, listing all the games for which you have recorded clips.
  3. Select the game you want to filter by.
  4. The library will now display only the clips from the selected game.

Visibility

The Visibility filter helps you manage who can see your clips. You can choose between on device, unlisted posts, public posts, and Medal cloud visibility settings.

How to Use:

  1. Click on the "Visibility" filter button.
  2. Choose from the following options:
    • On Device: Clips stored locally on your device.
    • Unlisted Posts: Clips that are not listed publicly but can be shared with a link.
    • Public Posts: Clips visible to everyone on Medal.
    • Medal Cloud: Clips stored in the Medal cloud.

Type

The Type filter categorizes your clips by their format or editing stage, such as clips, screenshots, montages, sessions, auto clips, replays, and projects.

How to Use:

  1. Click on the "Type" filter button.
  2. Select the type of clips you want to view:
    • Clips: Standard video clips.
    • Screenshots: Still images captured from gameplay.
    • Montages: Compiled video clips edited into a montage.
    • Sessions: Full gameplay sessions.
    • Auto Clips: Automatically recorded clips based on in-game events.
    • Replays: Replays of gameplay sessions.
    • Projects: Clips that are part of a larger project.
  3. The library will display clips of the chosen type.

Hashtag

The Hashtags filter lets you organize and search for clips using specific tags you have added. This can be especially useful for finding clips related to particular events or themes.

How to Use:

  1. Click on the "Hashtags" filter button.
  2. A list of hashtags you have used will appear.
  3. Select a hashtag to filter your clips.
  4. Clips tagged with the selected hashtag will be shown.

People

The People filter allows you to find clips involving specific users, including tagged users. This is useful if you want to see clips featuring certain friends or players.

How to Use:

  1. Click on the "People" filter button.
  2. A list of people who are featured or tagged in your clips will appear.
  3. Select a person to filter clips.
  4. The library will display clips featuring the chosen user.
