Knowing your computer's hardware details is crucial for optimizing your recording and streaming settings. By understanding your system's components, you can adjust your settings and align them with Medal's recommended clip quality settings for the best performance and troubleshooting.

Viewing Your CPU and GPU Details

Using Built-in Windows Tools

  1. System Info:

    • Type "info" in the search box on your taskbar, and then select System Information.

  2. Task Manager:

    • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
    • Click on the Performance tab.
    • Select CPU to view the details of your processor, including its name, cores, and speed.
    • Select GPU to see details about your graphics card.

    • Press Windows + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter.
    • Navigate to System Summary to view the processor details.
    • For GPU details, expand Components and select Display.

Using DirectX Diagnostic Tool

  1. DirectX Diagnostic Tool:

    • Press Windows + R and type dxdiag, then press Enter.
    • In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, go to the System tab for CPU details.
    • Navigate to the Display tab for GPU details.
